Creation or Evolution - which theory do you believe in?
59I would respond to that question by asking why does this really have to be an either/or scenario?
Is it really so impossible to believe that if God had created the universe he/she/it would have created it through the methods and laws that scientists insist are out there? I suppose that means my answer is evolution. I simply can't see a rational reason why someone who believes in God could not believe that he/she/it just might have decided to set the events of evolution in to motion.

I think the answer is evolution.From the scientific knowledge it is clear that organisms evolved from pre-existing ones....
For more details i prefer the reader this site.
well everybody has there own beleifs. i think we are from evolution. the reason is that if you think about it, if god did all he is said to do, would'nt it be kinda like HARRY POTTER? poof a man poof a women poof animals poof water poof plant life so on & so on. evewryone has to beleave in something it gives them sanity. it gives them peace so that is my take on this subject.
Hey C, I hear what your saying. It all comes down to origins, though. It has NEVER been shown how life can just appear from non-life (primordial pool). A little bit of research will show why dna and rna cannot exist in anything that can come together in a pool or pond. (mostly due to oxygen) which is vital to life as we know it, and harmful to anything that is needed to form the first cell.
I have been where you are,I thought " why could't (a) God just set things into motion and here we are today". Well, the answer for me was what the Bible has to say. If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, as he is portrayed to be, and then you believe what He tought, you are on your way to Bigger issues then this topic. If you don't believe, you have Bigger problems than this topic.
But to summerize my path, here it is. I am a believer. Jesus refered to Genesis as "factual". Archaeology has consistently validated historical text contained within the Bible. Scientiffic discoveries have "caught up" with what it teaches", eg. the earth is round and not flat. The creation story explains MORE questions than evolution. (even the harder ones).
I could go on, but my point is, if you (or anyone else) is truly seeking answers, they are out there. God said "whoever seeks Me, will find Me". Keep seeking.
Last comment. Google "evolution a mathematical impossibility" and see what is written about that. Good "luck".
I hate the whole debate. It is becoming blown out of proportion and is needlessly polarising opinion. The ID/Evolution debate, as portrayed in the media, is building artificial walls between science and religion. They generally co-exist quite happily, and have done so throughout history.
I've never understood the need for debate either. Evolution makes sense and doesn't negate the idea that there could be a creative force behind it. Thanks for a great hub.
Creation and evolution theories may be complementing wach other. Another spiritual theory is found in following blog;

The "either/or" scenario is a fact since so many folks out there believe in either/or, NOT in both. Yes, there are some like you (and me) who believe that God created the universe and set into motion the process of creation.
